Big Trees At Old Summit Forest Products
Of the 20-25 million REAL Christmas trees sold in America each year, the vast majority in the West are Noble firs from Oregon, and almost all are under 16 feet in height. The cost of shipping larger trees is generally considered prohibitive.
Since Noble firs will not tolerate California’s Mediterranean climate, most large trees here are Monterey pines or redwoods, plus a small number of Monterey cypress and Incense cedar. Those and a few other exotic species are available here up to 20 feet, with 25 feet or larger on special order.
